How long does the results last?

The effects of the treatment are long lasting. After the peeling, the skin continues to improve for 8 to 12 months becoming firmer and tighter, more supple and elastic and developing a smooth texture with a stable moisture balance. It produces a GENUINE REJUVENATION of the skin.

How many peels will I need?

Experience has shown that sequential peelings spaced six to eight weeks apart, result in a synergistic effect on skin renewal. Usually one to three treatments are recommended, depending on the condition of the skin. Initially, two treatments should always be advised. Experience has shown that when two peelings are effected at 6 week intervals, that is when the cellular reproduction begun by the first peeling has not finished by the time the second one is applied, resulting in a markedly better result than what is obtained by one. If three peelings seem advisable because of the degree of skin damage to be treated, the third peeling should be applied no sooner than 2 months

How safe is this peel?

EXTREMELY SAFE! Which is why I chose it! The depth of the injury of our peeling is carefully controlled so as to avoid irreversible damage to the skin which may result in permanent scarring. The penetration depth is NOT left to the clinician making this peeling safe to use. The Skin Renewal System has been carefully researched and developed, tried, tested and used successfully worldwide over the past 40 years. It produces a peeling that is superficial compared with deep phenol medical chemical peels and is therefore suitable for skins of all ages, colors and types and is suitable for both sexes.

Is the peel painful?

For approximately 10 to 20 minutes, there is moderate stinging which is eased greatly by the use of a fan. This then gives way to a numb like feeling. There is no pain associated with the peeling thereafter.

How will I look during the peeling process?

Immediately after application, the skin will appear normal aside from redness which is like a strong sunburn. After the application on the second day, the skin will darken and feel tight. On the 3rd to the 6th day, the skin becomes darker and feels very tight. The skin starts to peel around the nose, mouth, and the corners of the eyes. For those who work and cannot afford to take time off, we make the applications on a Wednesday and Thursday so that the unsightliness days fall over the weekend.
